Maikki - can only say I use 2GB of memory in my machine- you do need a lot for full size focus stacking. Having used the same diffuser for about 18 months made from plastic milk bottle I feel that Combine ZM has done sharpening to the image. After it has gone through the focus stacking, I believe Helicon alows you to manually 'paint' and edit the masks. Alternatively, one can convert a sequence of static frames ccombinez5 a movie including generating intermediate transitional frames for smoothness or a pseudo-3D 'rocker' image stack animation.

Zerene stacker is very good at minimising these but they do still occur and need manual editing to remove them. WindowsMac OS X. Free and clmbinez5 software portal. If it doesn't, don't sweat it.
